Oreo Truffles

These are by far my favorite.  So easy. So delicious.  You can easily fool people into thinking you are a dessert Queen when you bring these to a party!

Oreo Truffles

1 package oreos, crumbled finely
1 package cream cheese, soft
chocolate, melted (can be semi-sweet chocolate chips or baking squares or the chocolate bark)
Process oreos in a food processor until finely crushed or bang the heck out of them in a plastic baggie.  Mix oreo crumbs and cream cheese until smooth, refrigerate for about an hour.  Roll into balls.  You don't need to make them very big, they are very rich!  Freeze balls until hard (otherwise they'll melt when you dip them).   Dip into chocolate and let harden on wax paper.  If they seem to start melting stick them back in the freezer for a few minutes then continue dipping.  You can sprinkle stuff on top if you want, but do it right away!  I used chocolate sprinkles.  You could also save some of the oreo crumbs for the tops.  Store in the refrigerator.  I like to let mine sit out for a little while before I serve them though, they seem to be best at room temperature!
