You Capture: Hopeful

This week's You Capture hosted by I Should Be Folding Laundry is all about HOPE.  Hope is what keeps me going.  Because no matter how good or bad today might be, tomorrow could be even better (or worse, I know, I know, I'm trying to be hopeful here, work with me).

I've written before about our dear sweet Charlie and his stubborn little ways before.  I decided a long time ago that I would choose my battles with this guy.  So when he decided two years ago to not ever wear jeans again..EVER...I decided to let it go.  He doesn't like jeans.  The end.  Why fight it?  Who cares if the other Moms at the library look at me strangely when he come to Story Hour in the same sweat pants every. single. time.  I sure didn't.  (Or at least I tried to tell myself that I didn't...and in the end, Mommy has learned a little lesson about not caring what people think...thank you Charlie.)

So when Charlie decided today, You Capture's day of HOPE of all days, to wear jeans...because he wanted to, I just knew a picture was in order.

Because if anything says hope, it's a stubborn five year old who decided to do something on his own that you have been hoping in your heart that he would do for two years...even if it is just wearing jeans.

He even celebrated the occasion with a tie.
Because that's just how he rolls.

  6. So cute!

When I met my husband (college) he did not own one pair of jeans. He was a cargos/chinos kind of guy. I bought him his first pair of jeans 5 years ago. He thought they were stiff and uncomfortable.
